At Cornerstone, we operate under 3 core values: the 3 C’s. We are not a church of consumers and we encourage all who attend to actively get involved in what God is doing at Cornerstone Community Church, we emphasize participation. The ways you can get involved include inviting friends and family, volunteering, creating community in Growth Groups, and giving back to God through tithing. We call these categories of involvement the 3 C’s.
We care about people. Our church exists for people far from God to come to know Him, and we want you to invite people in your life to experience the life-changing message of Jesus. We care about our community. We want be actively involved in our community working with other churches and organizations to help build a healthy community.
Commit your time and talents to serve God’s people. God has equipped each of us with unique gifts and skill sets. At C3, we provide you opportunities to use your talents to serve God's vision through the local church. Commit your treasure. At C3 we consider it a privilege to give back to God what He has so freely given to us. We celebrate generosity and the work God does through our tithes sacrificial giving.
We connect in several different ways. We start at every worship experience by the way we greet every person that comes through the doors of C3. From the time they get out of their cars in the parking lot until the time they leave our building, we will be contagiously happy! We are getting ready to experience the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE! Our church will be happier than Disney Land! We want to make every person who walks into our church feel warm and welcomed! Participating in a Growth Group is the best way to build community and foster spiritual growth at Cornerstone. Through our Growth Groups, you can connect with others as you grow in your relationship with Christ. We will connect with our community through different outreaches, partnering with other organizations in our community and we will also connect through our Men’s Program, our Women’s Program, our Youth Program and our Celebrate Recovery program.
What We Are About
WE EXIST TO BRING HONOR AND GLORY TO
GOD BY LOVING HIM AND LOVING HIS PEOPLE
We are a community of Christ Followers who believe very strongly in the Great Commandment. We believe that we exist to love God and love people. If we do these two things well God will bless what we are doing; if we do not then He won’t. We live in the most “un-churched” state in our nation and we are a church that wants to go into our community and bring those who are far away from Jesus Christ into a personal, intimate and growing relationship with Him. The way we intend to do that is to reach out into our community and show them that there is a God and that He loves them very, very much. Below is an outline of how we intend to fulfill our vision.
What We Believe
The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance and authority of the Holy Spirit. Because God inspired it, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.
Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Psalms 119:11, 89, 105; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 22:29; John 5:39; 16:13-15; 17:17; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-2; 4:12; 1 Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 3:16
GOD THREE IN ONE
God has existed in perfect union with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one God in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 61:1; Matthew 28:19; Mark 1:9-11; Luke 1:35; John 5:21-23; 14:10, 16; Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:8-10; James 2:19
OMNIPOTENT, OMNISCIENT, OMNIPRESENT
God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good: He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

GOD BECAME MAN
Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He died a brutal death on a cross but defeated death in His resurrection so that we could have life. He is the Son of God, born of a virgin. It is at the name of Jesus that all beings on heaven and earth will bow and confess that He is Lord of all.

GOD IS ALWAYS PRESENT
His presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into truth and exalts Christ. He dwells in us, He convicts us of our sin, He reveals God’s righteousness, and counsels us daily. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.

Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. God’s salvation, by his grace, is available to all people.
John 3:16, 36; Romans 6:23; 1 John 2:25; 5:11-13; Revelation 20:15
CREATED IN GOD'S IMAGE
Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Everything else in creation was created with God’s words but man was created with God’s breath. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human being is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and love.
Genesis 1:26-30; 2:7, 18-22; 3; Psalms 8:3-6; 32:1-5; 51:5; Isaiah 6:5; Jeremiah 17:5; Acts 17:26-31; Romans 1:19-32; 3:10-18, 23; 5:6; 6:6; 7:14-25; 1 Corinthians 1:21-31; 15:19, 21-22; Ephesians 2; Colossians 1:21-22; 3:9-11
THE ONLY WAY TO GOD
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith and trust in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

GOD’S DESIGN FOR COMMUNITY
The Church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, with all of the people using their unique gifts to reach the lost with the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.
